About Martin Mondia

From an early age Martin was drawn to photographs and movies. An information junkie from birth, and always curious about the who, what, where & when he was captivated by how a photo or film could take him to another place and time. At the tender age of 13, it was no surprise he caught the ART bug. Thanks to the family Video & Polaroid cameras at parties and gatherings he unknowingly stumbled upon his lifelong love of storytelling. If there was a camera laying around, it would inevitably find its way into Martin's hands. His raw talent forged an almost spiritual connection between the lens and his vision. An athletic kid, he loved playing outside, often leaving at sunrise and returning at dusk. Moving from the south coast of Texas; California now became his new playground. Riding the neighborhoods of Corpus Christi was replaced by the diverse landscape of the golden state. Weekend hiking and camping trips quenched his thirst for outdoor adventure.  

Juggling work and school and unsure what his career path would be, he gravitated toward fitness which made sense because of his love of strength and endurance training. While studying film Martin became a personal trainer, working with clients across the greater Los Angeles area known as the the mecca of fitness and film. Martin even found himself training at a private gym on a movie studio lot where he made more connections in the entertainment industry. When you meet him, ask - he'll tell you the stories about the crazy times rubbing elbows with the biggest and the brightest. Having flexibility with his fitness business allowed for gig work in features and TV projects which grew to stringer work shooting international news. From there Martin dabbled in stunt work and acting. Though it was a tough path, Martin was certain he wanted to man his own productions where he ventured outside of California to international locations. Never one to shy away from the action, he found himself excelling in the "on the fly" or "run and gun" style as it suits his dynamic way of life.  

Travel and outdoor adventures continued as did living in some of America's most pristine back-country locations. It would only make sense that he found himself as a professional Videographer / Photographer shooting his own documentary style programs as well as sports, live music and events. Today, nestled not far from the Sierra Nevada mountains in northern California, the productions continue, only now he has the company of his wife and puppy.
